We all have experienced some sleepless nights at some point. We are affected by many things in our lives and stress plays a large role in our sleep pattern. However, there are also several other factors that can affect the quality of our sleep.
In this article, we will discuss the issue of varicose veins and what affect the condition can have on your sleep. We will also provide some simple things you can do at home to improve your condition and hopefully get a good night’s rest. Varicose Veins and The Impact on Sleep Varicose veins and muscle cramps go hand in hand. However few patients and even some physicians are unable to put the two conditions together. Doing so, may help you find the solution you need. To begin with, varicose veins are more common than you think. In fact, 25% of the population has some form of vein disease. Given the large array of symptoms associated with varicose veins ,it is no surprise that restless legs and muscle cramps associated with vein disease is one of the most common causes of poor sleep. The symptoms are worse at night with varicose veins when some of the circulation starts to improve with getting our feet up. All the swelling, pooled blood, and toxic metabolites start to circulate and with less distraction, the discomfort becomes more apparent. We often attribute the condition to restless leg syndrome. The body senses the imbalance in your body and creates involuntary movements and contractions of your legs to promote some of the blood movement. The symptoms of RLS and vein disease are blurred with aching, throbbing, cramps and uncontrolled leg movements. Vein Treatment in Freehold NJ becomes directed at restless leg syndrome rather than addressing the underlying issue that is vein disease. However, unlike RLS, vein disease is very treatable. A vein clinic can help provide the diagnosis if varicose veins are suspected. How to Sleep Well With Varicose Veins The first steps are conservative and in many instances, very effective. We review some simple steps you can take at home to help alleviate sleepless nights from vein disease. Compression Stockings The foundation of good vein treatment is the use of compression stockings. Many individuals will purchase compression stockings for use at home and work. Ideally, they are appropriately sized and fitted by a qualified vein doctor. The typical strength is 20-30 mmHg and they can be obtained as knee-high or thigh-high depending on the condition. For patients with bothersome symptoms on both sides, waist level compression stockings can also be considered. The primary goal of compression stockings is preventative. Hydrate Flush your system out before you go to sleep. This keeps toxic local metabolites from building up in the legs during the daytime that lead to cramps and muscle twitching. Elevate Your Legs This goes for both the day and night time. The more you can keep the swelling down in your legs by elevating your feet and compression stockings, the less likely you are to experience symptoms of vein disease. Stretching and Massage Before going to sleep, give your muscles a stretch to help them relax. Massaging your legs can also help settle any tension you have in your legs. Vein Treatment Varicose vein removal should only be considered in consultation with a vein specialist. The diagnosis depends on a careful history and examination to look for clues of vein disease. If medically appropriate, an ultrasound will evaluate the size and direction of blood flow in your legs. This provides important information about the likelihood of vein disease potentially causing symptoms of restless leg syndrome. Modern vein treatments are simple and safe using minimally-invasive techniques. RF vein ablation and sclerotherapy are the primary tools and target poorly circulating veins. Diseased veins are collapsed from within and healthy circulation is promoted by the re-direction of blood. This stops blood from pooling up in your legs and causing symptoms of vein disease. Are you like many other patients questioning “how to remove spider veins”? You may know that 2 types of cosmetic treatments are available for spider vein removal: sclerotherapy and laser vein removal. Laser treatment for spider veins on legs is quite popular due to the ease of use and decreased technical proficiency required to perform a successful procedure.
Vein treatment near Westfield NJ is offered at premiere vein clinics, dermatologists, med spas and plastic surgery offices. Unlike sclerotherapy, laser vein removal does not require cannulation of the vein or any needle pricks. Instead, a beam of light energy is focused on desired areas and zaps the tiny little veins. Laser vein removal is reserved for really fine and tiny spider veins for optimal results. There is less penetration on larger clusters of spider veins or reticular veins making laser treatment undesirable. The target for laser treatment is actually the hemoglobin inside the blood cells. The hemoglobin absorbs the energy which heats the lining of the blood vessels and causes them to shrink away. By focusing light outside the skin, laser vein removal is completely non-invasive. For optimal results, most patients will undergo 2-4 treatments depending on the nature and severity of their spider veins. After each treatment, there are minimal limitations and patients can go back to their usual routines. The treated area may appear red, inflamed, and bruised for a period of time. This is non-permanent and with time, the area of inflammation will resolve. Having a qualified vein doctor perform the procedure is imperative ,whether you are seeking laser treatment or sclerotherapy. While sclerotherapy is technically more challenging , laser vein removal has notable limitations and side effects that must be understood. As such, we recommend only treatment with a trained and highly rated varicose vein doctor in Englewood NJ. Cosmetic vein treatments including sclerotherapy and laser treatments are not covered by insurance. However, patients with more medical concerns should seek consultation with a vein doctor near me to evaluate for possible venous insufficiency. Spider and varicose veins can result from venous insufficiency, which is a progressive condition but easily treatable. Article Source: https://varicoseveinsnewjersey.home.blog/2020/06/08/laser-ablation-for-vein-disease/ Are you looking for a varicose vein treatment near me in NYC? Trying to decide which vein center has the best reputation can seem like a daunting task. A simple google search for “best vein clinic near me” will populate at least 12 different clinics all offering very similar vein treatments. Fortunately, there are some qualities that are invariable among the best vein treatment centers. We are here to help you start that process!
5 Qualities of the Best Vein Clinic Highly-Qualified Vein Doctors The quality of vein doctors is understandably the most important consideration when looking for the best vein clinic. The vein clinic should have physicians with a strong pedigree and vascular-specific board-certification. Patients should be aware that the term "board certification" alone is not enough. Instead, an educated patient will seek out vein specialists that have board certifications that explicitly state vascular training---this ensures those physicians have received formal residency training to practice interventional procedures and venous medicine. The only specialties that offer formal procedural training during residency for venous medicine are surgery (vascular, general or cardiothoracic) and interventional fellowships (radiology and cardiology). So, be specific to ask what board-certification was achieved! Minimally Invasive Vein Treatment Procedures Did you know that vascular surgery is no longer necessary in the treatment for varicose veins. However, that does not mean that a vascular surgeon or cardiovascular specialist shouldn’t be the one treating you. The treatment of vein disease remains specialized and deciding who and what treatment is best for you still requires a vascular expert. Nonetheless, today’s best vein clinics do manage most vein disease with minimally invasive non-surgical techniques. That means a scalpel should not be the primary tool for vein treatment. If you’re suffering from venous insufficiency, the vein clinic should offer treatments like radiofrequency ablation, endovenous laser ablation, venaseal, and varithena. During these procedures, the vein doctor uses no more than a tiny needle or IV line to treat the vein completely. Once the unhealthy veins are treated and closed, the circulation is immediately improved and blood reroutes to healthier veins to relieve symptoms of congested blood flow. In addition to venous insufficiency treatments, the vein clinic should also feel comfortable with cosmetic treatments for spider and varicose veins. All too often, patients seeking cosmetic treatments are guided to higher end treatments like ablation without offering solutions for visible spider veins. Instead, patients may be directed to medical spas or dermatologists to complete treatments at an additional cost. Sclerotherapy and ambulatory phlebectomy are the preferred treatments for surface veins and should be discussed as part of a complete management strategy. The Staff It is not enough for a vein clinic to just have the best doctors and latest technologies. Pay attention to the individuals assisting your vein doctor and completing your vein evaluation. Vein clinics run as a team, and one of the most overlooked members is the ultrasonographer. These individuals have completed formal training in the diagnosis and treatment of vein disease using ultrasound technique. They are the backbone of a good clinic and will help provide the necessary information to your vein doctor to make treatment plans. If the data provided to your doctor is not coming from a reliable source, then you should consider an alternative clinic. Vein clinics that prioritize the hiring of certified and experienced sonographers have made a commitment to safety and the quality of their clinic. At the best Mt Laurel Vein centers, the team of ultrasound technicians and physicians are all certified by ARDMS. Strong Online Presence and Track Record Finally, the vein clinic’s online presence can tell you a lot about their quality of care. In the modern age, it’s absolute for vein clinics to maintain an educational website and have a strong online presence. If the vein clinic’s website looks dated, it’s likely that their investment into the rest of their practice is also questionable. Personalized Approach Finally, it’s also important that the vein treatment center takes a personalized approach to treatment. Vein treatment is elective and should always feel that way. The purpose of your vein consultation should be to present your concerns and goals for treatment. Beyond being friendly, the vein specialist should provide a comprehensive evaluation that takes into full account your medical and family history, along with your symptoms. This will allow your vein doctor to make appropriate recommendations and what results can be expected. We will say it again--vein treatment is not a one size fits all approach. Finally, there should always be enough time for questions and answers with the vein doctor without feeling rushed to make treatment decisions. Schedule a Consultation with the Best Clinic for Vein Treatment Based on all the above-mentioned factors, you should be able to locate “the best vein clinic near me”. If you suspect you suffer from vein disease, you should make certain you consult with a reputable vein treatment center. Vein disease is a medical condition and if untreated can lead to the formation of varicose veins, bleeding, skin changes, leg ulcers, and even deep vein thrombosis. The best vein clinic near Millburn NJ will carefully examine all of your symptoms in order to individualize a treatment plan just for you. We hope this brief summary provides you information to find the best vein clinic near your location! Article Source: http://edisonveinclinic.over-blog.com/2020/05/5-qualities-of-the-best-vein-clinic.html As you may know, leg veins contain one-way valves that allow blood to defy gravity and travel up to the heart from our lower extremities. If these valves leak or become damaged, blood can pool in the legs, which can cause veins to become enlarged or varicose. People with varicose veins often suffer from the following symptoms and seek out vein specialists near me:
In the past, the best treatment for varicose veins involved an invasive surgical procedure called vein stripping. Fortunately, technological advancements have allowed us to replace vein stripping with minimally invasive, relatively painless procedures. There are two primary methods for modern varicose vein treatment, both of which are outpatient procedures that do not require general anesthesia. The first option is Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA), which uses high-frequency radio waves to heat the targeted vein. The radiofrequency energy is transmitted using a specialized catheter that’s inserted into the vein. The second is Endovenous Laser Ablation (ELA). This approach is quite similar to RFA, but instead of using radio waves to heat varicose veins, ELA uses laser energy to initiate scarring. This is different than laser treatment for spider veins. While both RFA and ELA are very safe procedures, it’s always important to discuss the risks with your doctor. Here are some of the risks you should be aware of before undergoing a vein ablation procedure:
Following the ablation procedure, it’s recommended that the patient wear a gradient compression stocking to help reduce tenderness, bruising, and minimize the possibility of blood clots forming. Because the procedures are minimally invasive, the recovery period is relatively short. Still, only the best vein doctors should be considered. If you’re considering varicose vein treatment, one should consider an exhaustive research before choosing the best vein doctor near me. Article Source: https://njveindoc.blogspot.com/2020/06/what-are-my-options-when-compression.html Are you currently suffering from large unsightly varicose veins in New Jersey? If so, you are not alone in seeking vein center near me, and you will want to explore the latest treatments available before making a decision. Leg veins — both spider veins and varicose veins — usually occur because of an underlying vein disease called chronic venous insufficiency. This is a medical condition in which the valves in the veins are dysfunctional due to a host of issues. Mainly, the circulation becomes impaired and early signs can include the development of spider and varicose veins. If left untreated, vein disease can lead to progressive conditions like swelling, skin discoloration and even deep vein thrombosis.
Previously, treatment was far more involved and required surgical procedures like vein stripping. Today, due to the tremendous advances in technology, minimally invasive techniques have become the gold standard at NJ vein treatment, including radiofrequency ablation, endovenous laser treatment, venaseal, and sclerotherapy. In this article, we will provide an essential guide to the unique technologies being incorporated in the best vein clinics in NJ, but also across the country. Radiofrequency Ablation RF ablation is a minimally-invasive procedure that is the gold standard in current treatments for venous insufficiency. It involves direct insertion of a small catheter into the unhealthy vein. The catheter is designed to deliver heat energy into the vein causing it to collapse and ultimately reroute blood to the numerous healthy veins in your legs. The procedure is done within the office setting and can be completed with just local anesthesia. Most patients are able to continue their normal activities soon after treatment. Endovenous Laser Treatment Endovenous laser treatment is similar to radiofrequency ablation, but it uses laser energy instead of heat energy. Utilizing ultrasound guidance, a laser fiber is inserted into the problematic vein through a tiny incision in the skin. Laser energy is delivered directly into the vein to close it permanently. Over time, the vein is gradually reabsorbed by the body as opposed to being removed in typical stripping procedures. The major difference is the quick-recovery time and improved long term results. VenaSeal VenaSeal is the latest technology to receive FDA-approval for the treatment of varicose veins. In contrast to ablation, VenaSeal is a medical adhesive that is deposited to close-off diseased vein segments. The major advantage is eliminating the need for thermal treatments of the vein that usually require more local anesthetic. Additionally, there is no need for any post-treatment compression stockings due to the unique nature of VenaSeal. At this time, VenaSeal is a premiere service at NJ vein clinics and has more limited insurance coverage. Varithena Varithena is a specially formulated microfoam utilizing a common medication, polidocanol. It is often the perfect compliment to endovenous techniques such as ablation or VenaSeal. Residual segments of diseased veins are targeted by the microfoam for complete relief of symptoms. A typical session is completed in the vein clinic with direct injection of the medication into varicose veins. Varithena has also been used commonly in recurrent vein disease, particularly the difficult anatomies noted after a prior history of vein stripping. Minimally Invasive is Newer, but is it Better? Traditional surgical methods such as stripping have been largely eliminated in the practice of venous medicine. Newer techniques are less disruptive, better tolerated, and associated with improved long-term outcomes. Most importantly, they are safer! The following benefits are clear reasons to opt for minimally-invasive techniques at NJ vein treatment centers: Minimally Invasive and Non Surgical: Endovenous techniques described above are done in the office and require little patient preparation. The procedure requires can be done without sedation and is virtually pain-free. Safer: In the right hands, minimally invasive techniques pose minimal risks! As opposed to surgical methods, serious issues like DVT are very rare. Increased success rates: Unlike stripping procedures of the past, the long term success rates with endovenous techniques are above 95%. Risk of recurrence is rare and difficult problems such as neovascularization are less common. No Down-time: It’s remarkable to see patients come in for treatments and return back to work the very same day! Although that may not be for everyone, it’s an incredible statement on how far the procedure has come to improve patient well-being without disrupting normal routines. Where to Find the Newest Treatments? When looking for a vein doctor in Freehold NJ, it’s important to find a vein treatment clinic that offers minimally-invasive treatment options. The information should be readily available on each clinic’s website. And while some techniques are clearly favored more often due to physician preference, a reputable vein clinic should be able to answer questions on all different modalities and find the treatment that best suits your care. Article source: https://sjveinclinic.blogspot.com/2020/04/six-stages-of-vein-disease.html If you are searching for spider vein treatment near me, you are likely referring to the small red or blue veins that can spread out like tiny tree branches on the feet, legs, chest and even face.
Spider veins are often the result of varicose veins in nearby blood vessels. Varicose veins are the sometimes larger, bluish veins on the surface of the skin, but they can also be present beneath the skin’s surface hidden from view. When the varicose section of vein fills with blood and swells to its capacity, the overflow of blood creates tiny spider veins close to the skin. What causes spider veins?A family history of varicose/spider veins is a strong indicator you will also have veins prone to this kind of deterioration. However, there are other risk factors including being on your feet a lot (standing still without moving around), carrying excess weight, pregnancy, age, lack of mobility, leg injury, etc.Are spider veins dangerous?Spider veins themselves are not dangerous, however the underlying cause can be dangerous. Left untreated, varicose veins can cause a range of complications, some quite serious. The only way to be certain is to find a vein treatment center near me.How are spider veins treated? The best way to treat spider veins is to treat the underlying cause, varicose veins. Depending on your particular needs, the best vein clinic NJ will choose the most appropriate treatment from a range of modern non-surgical procedures including ultrasound guided sclerotherapy, endovenous laser ablation, and Venaseal. Article Source: https://sjveinclinic.blogspot.com/2019/11/spider-veins.html Many people are aware that varicose veins in the legs are associated with labor-intensive jobs that involve standing all day, or that they tend to affect people who have a family history with the condition. But those aren’t the only ways varicose veins become uncomfortable and aggravated — in fact, the way you work out could be putting you at risk. Though varicose veins shouldn't stop you from exercising, it’s important to know what you should make a habit of and what you should avoid. A consultation with a varicose vein doctor for avid runners can provide the best tips on how to get rid of spider veins and varicose veins.
Take It Easy and Avoid Impact: Similar to how excessive standing can be problematic for the health of your veins, high-impact exercises can aggravate and worsen the condition for those predisposed to it. This includes activities like running, particularly on hard surfaces like concrete. It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes, wear compression stockings and sticking to softer surfaces like grass to help improve blood flow from the legs and decrease aches and pains. But if your body simply can’t handle the strain of running and other high-intensity activities, walking is a far safer alternative. It’s not too strenuous, and it might actually be the most beneficial physical activity for your circulation. If you’re at a job that involves extended periods of sitting, taking short breaks to walk around or climb stairs has proven extremely helpful. That being said, even walking can be a difficult task for those already suffering from leg pain from varicose veins. A good method to increase blood flow without straining yourself physically is to rotate your ankles and rock your legs back and forth. The Gym: What to Do and What to Avoid:: For starters, the elliptical and the stationary bike are great, low-impact exercise implements that help you burn calories and increase blood flow without putting too much strain on your body. If exercise machines aren’t your style, swimming is another excellent choice to log some physical activity that won’t have your veins regretting it afterward. That’s because swimming places the legs in a horizontal position, rather than straining them through interaction with a tough surface. If you have significant and symptomatic varicose veins, it may be wise to stay away from heavy lifting until an evaluation by a vein doctor. Weight-lifting has a similar effect on the body to running in that it can interfere with or restrict blood flow from the legs to the heart, causing blood to pool in the veins and enlarge them. This is a result of the straining and increased abdominal pressure that the exertion involved in lifting heavy objects requires. Sit-ups, lunges, squats, and even yoga can have a similarly strenuous effect on varicose veins. For greater discussion on the effects of exercise on veins, consider visiting a varicose veins doctor. Vein clinics of America are wonderful resources to learn more about vein disease. Exercise is important and varicose veins should not get in the way. Article Source: https://www.goodreads.com/story/show/1274167-what-happens-to-veins-with-exercise The history of the patient who presents with varicose veins will be symptoms of leg pain, leg swelling, leg cramps, or fatigue in the legs. Patients may also reports restless leg syndrome or itchy varicose veins. Their primary concern can be as simple as “Are varicose veins dangerous?”
Significant considerations to the vein doctor include: family history of varicose veins or dvt, blood clotting disorders, age, pregnancy and gender. Occupation plays a large role in the development of varicose veins. Employment or lifestyles that require prolonged periods of sitting or standing are inciting factors for venous pooling and venous hypertension. Teachers, bus drivers, bank tellers, transit workers, clerical or office assistants tend to be prone to developing venous insufficiency. These professions tend to be a large majority of patients seen at the best vein clinic in Freehold NJ. During the evaluation with a NJ vein doctor, it’s important not to lose track of the patients main concerns such as “eliminate spider veins” or “what is most important for you if we proceed with treatment?” For this reason, it’s important that before proceeding with any vein treatment, the vein specialist really consider what is causing the patient discomfort or pain. In the end, if the pain is related to sciatica, pain relief is unlikely with any cure for spider veins. Important vein specific features include leg swelling (especially if unilateral), prior DVT, prior episodes of superficial thrombophlebitis, and bleeding leg ulcerations. Vein treatment should also be considered in the context of important co-morbidities including cardiac disease such as prior myocardial infarctions, arrhythmias or heart failure. Vein treatment is elective and should not compromise a patient’s health status. Other considerations include diabetes, know history of blood clots or DVT, stroke, allergic reactions, musculoskeletal issues that can prove difficult for patient positioning. The vein doctor should also be aware of any mobility issues as it is important for patients to be able to recover post vein treatment with sufficient walking that promotes healthy circulation. Previous surgical history can be relevant especially if the patient has had prior vein stripping or radio-frequency ablation procedures. The physical examination cannot be overemphasized. Visual inspection for spider veins, varicose veins , and reticular veins will be obvious. The patient should also be inspected for skin discoloration, swelling, leg ulcerations. Scarring or pigmentation from prior ablation or sclerotherapy should also be inspected for. Advanced changes can include stasis dermatitis and even lipodermatosclerosis that in the presence of venous insufficiency should be considered by a vein specialist for treatment. These findings of vein disease form the basis of the CEAP classification of vein disease. These features of the history and physical examination are hallmarks of a comprehensive examination. Anyone looking for the best vein doctor near me should expect not only a board-certified vein specialist, but also an attentive doctor. Article Source: https://varicoseveinsnewjersey.home.blog/2020/02/18/evaluation-of-the-vein-patient/ If you are seeking care from a vein doctor for varicose veins, you can be certain that you are not the only one. While many think that varicose veins are purely cosmetic, vein disease can have many manifestations. One of the most bothersome issues is the chronic itching that occurs from the inflammatory condition that results from varicose veins and its underlying problem--venous insufficiency.
Varicose veins are just one symptom of a more serious underlying issue--chronic venous insufficiency. The itchy feeling patients experience from varicose veins is a more advanced symptom and suggest inflammation at the level of the skin. These symptoms don’t happen overnight and thus it's important to seek early vein evaluations. And while the cosmetic issues like spider veins can be covered and even suppressed with compression socks and long pants, the feelings associated with venous insufficiency can become unbearable for many individuals. These symptoms include itchy veins, swollen legs, leg fatigue, leg cramps, leg pain and skin discoloration. Why Do Varicose Veins Itch? Varicose veins develop because of chronic venous insufficiency. In this condition, truncal or superficial veins become dysfunctional. This can result from many different causes including employment or lifestyles that lead to prolonged periods of standing or sitting, obesity, smoking, pregnancy are common associated issues. Genetics plays the largest role and many patients will identify parents or siblings with varicose veins. In chronic venous insufficiency, the circulation becomes impaired in the superficial veins. The veins are dilated and the valves become dysfunctional unable to keep blood from refluxing (or falling back down) with gravity. Unlike deep veins, there is no significant muscle or tissue to prevent the veins from dilating further and worsening the problem. This poor circulation effort leads to blood to pool in the legs and cause symptoms of venous insufficiency. Spider and varicose veins result from the over-distended veins that cause new , diseased veins to form. As the situation worsens with time, the continued pooling of blood becomes chronically irritated and inflammatory to the walls of the veins and the surrounding tissue. This includes the skin which can become eczematous, itchy and discolored. Untreated this condition can lead to venous stasis changes or permanently discolored and eczematous. In the most serious cases, skin ulcers (CEAP 5 and 6), infections and bleeding can occur. How to treat itchy varicose veins? The eczema that results from venous insufficiency needs early treatment. Moisturizers and steroids can help resolve very irritated skin, but the key is to treat the underlying issue to prevent chronic insults on the skin. Fortunately, these treatments are readily available and can be done with relative ease in the qualified hands of a vein clinic near me . Modern treatments are minimally-invasive and catheter based technologies that eliminate the need for surgical removal of veins. Combination treatments with foam sclerotherapy or ambulatory phlebectomy can eliminate some of the most unsightly varicose veins once the underlying issue is resolved. If you are seeking expert venous care, make sure you see a board-certified vein specialist as soon as possible. Article source: http://njveinclinic.mystrikingly.com/blog/do-varicose-veins-itch Telangiectasias (or spider veins) are leg veins that are less than 1mm and non-bulging. Treatment options for spider veins include sclerotherapy and laser treatment. Of course, treatment is best done after addressing any underlying areas of reflux in larger diameter varicose veins or truncal veins by a qualified vein doctor Freehold . In the management of spider veins, the decision rests between injection of sclerotherapy or laser therapy. Sclerotherapy is favored when the vessels can be visualized with ease for cannulation, whereas laser vein treatment for spider veins in Freehold NJ is best for spider veins on the legs difficult to cannulate due to size. Areas of matting are also likely to better approached by laser treatment. Sclerotherapy When treating spider veins on the legs with sclerotherapy, the vein doctor should follow simple easy to remember points: 1. Go slow with injection to minimize extravasation, 2. Use the minimal sclerosant concentration to minimize staining, and 3. Use the least amount of volume for effect. With polidocanol, spider veins are treated with a concentration of 0.25% to 0.5% ideally. Post cosmetic sclerotherapy Compression therapy is highly recommended by vein specialists after sclerotherapy for spider veins on the legs. The recommended grade is 2 with 20-30mmHg of graded compression worn for 1-2 weeks depending the vein clinic in Freehold protocol. Repeat treatment is not advised for at least 4-6 weeks in order to assess the response to the previous spider vein treatment session. With resistant spider veins after treatment, one must consider the possibility of underlying sources of venous insufficiency, feeder veins that could be missed with visual inspection alone, and alternate concentrations of sclerosant. Additionally, one can consider laser treatment for spider veins in Freehold. It is also recommended to consider Vein lights which provide trans-illumination beyond simple visual inspection. These lights can highlight underlying feeder veins and varicosities that require foam sclerotherapy. Laser treatment of spider veins: Best utilized for small superficial spider veins that are difficult to cannulate for sclerotherapy. Laser has not been as effective for reticular veins or varicose veins due to poor penetration at the skin level. In these instances, it is not uncommon to employ both techniques for elimination of spider veins. Post treatment recommendations are similar to sclerotherapy, however re-treatment is not indicated for 8-12 weeks to minimize risks of inflammatory reactions. article source: http://anner.booklikes.com/post/2065919/spider-vein-treatment-in-edison-nj |
